The new Fall/Winter 2025/2026 collection goes back to the roots of founder Annick van De Weghe and daughter Romee Bleys. Horses have long been part of Annick and Romee’s DNA and in every aspect of their life you can find back a certain love for horses. Annick and Romee both grew up in the world of horse jumping and had been devoted to this olympic sport for the biggest part of their life.
Being a lover of horses, Annick went back to her roots with the current collection. Of course implementing prints with horses was a must. Besides a literal translation, the “roots” can also be sensed in the use of material and the combination of colors.
More sportive materials are implemented into this collection alongside the “flou” materials which come back season after season. This season an organization called “All seated in A Barn” catched Annick’s eye. It is an organization rescuing horses from slaughters. The organization is in line with the story of the collection and Annick has decided that part of the profits will be donated to “All seated in A Barn”.
All seated in A Barn is a non profit equine rescue, sanctuary, rehabilitation, training and intake facility whose large ambitions include rescuing horses and donkeys who would otherwise be shipped across the border to be slaughtered for human consumption.
They provide them with medical attention and most importantly, find them the loving homes they deserve. Furthermore, they use different community programs to further rehabilitate the horses, who in return help to rehabilitate the individuals in these programs.
The organization saw the need to step forward and create a way to help the thousands of horses and donkeys that are trapped in both the slaughter and horse industry pipeline.
This season, part of the profits of AVDW will be donated to All seated in A Barn.
