AVDW’s story began with colourful scarves, bold jewellery and vintage treasures collected during Annick’s travels. A turning point came with the discovery of South African Lesotho blankets — the inspiration behind the one-of-a-kind MANTA coats, and the true beginning of AVDW as a fashion label.

Since then, the brand has grown into a full-fledged fashion house — offering ready-to-wear and accessories, including the already iconic AVDW loafers — all handcrafted in ateliers across Belgium and Italy. What began as seasonal capsule drops evolved into complete collections from 2023 onward. Today, AVDW is available in the Antwerp flagship store, through select European boutiques, and online.

It always begins with a spark — a scent, a memory, a fleeting image. The prints — florals, animal motifs, stripes, and dots — are hand-drawn and proudly imperfect.
